Mobile Services Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
Effective Date: 10/10/2025 | Last Updated: 10/10/2025
1. Scope and Relationship with Other Terms
This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) applies to all mobile services provided by BizBootstrap UK Limited (“BizBootstrap”, “we”, “our”), including SIMs, voice, SMS/MMS, data, value-added services and related features (the “Services”). This AUP forms part of our General Terms of Service, your Plan Terms, and our Privacy Policy.
2. Key Definitions
- Customer/you – the account holder or authorised user of the Services.
 - Device – handset, tablet, router, CPE or other equipment using our SIM/eSIM.
 - Plan – your tariff (prepaid or monthly), including allowances and Fair Use limits.
 - Premium/Special Rate Services – services charged at higher or non-standard rates (including short codes and special prefixes).

3. Registration, KYC and Security
- Provide accurate registration details and keep them up to date.
 - Complete KYC/AML checks where required and keep SIMs/eSIM profiles, PINs/PUKs and credentials secure.
 - Report lost or stolen SIMs/Devices immediately; you are responsible for all usage until reported.

4. Compliance with Law and Regulation
Use the Services in accordance with applicable UK law and regulation (non-exhaustive): Communications Act 2003, UK GDPR & Data Protection Act 2018, PECR, Fraud Act 2006, and relevant Ofcom/ICO guidance. Do not use the Services to commit or facilitate unlawful acts.
5. Fair Use, Personal Use and Data Caps
Our Plans are intended for normal, person-to-person use. The following apply:
- Unlimited Data (handset/tablet): capped at 800 GB per calendar month per SIM. Once the cap is reached, data access may be paused, restricted, or otherwise managed until the next allowance refresh.
 - Broadband/Data-only SIMs (routers/CPE): capped at 2 TB per calendar month per SIM. Once the cap is reached, data access may be paused, restricted, or otherwise managed until the next allowance refresh.
 - Prohibited exploitation: SIM boxing, GSM gateways, PBX trunking, traffic aggregation, auto-diallers, continuous monitoring, bulk messaging, or M2M/A2P use unless your Plan explicitly permits it.
 - Unreasonable or disproportionate use (e.g., sustained high-volume calls to single numbers, excessive short-duration calls, or artificially inflated traffic) is not permitted.

6. Content and Conduct
- Do not send, upload, access, or store unlawful, harmful, threatening, defamatory, harassing, hateful, discriminatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable content.
 - Do not infringe intellectual property rights or share content without permission.

7. Network Management and Performance
- We may apply reasonable traffic management to preserve network integrity, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with law. This can include speed restrictions, throttling, deprioritisation, or temporary suspension after caps are reached.
 - Availability and speeds vary by coverage, device, and load.

8. Tethering and Hotspot
Tethering/hotspot use is allowed only within your Plan rules and Fair Use. Using a handset SIM primarily in non-handset devices is not permitted unless your Plan explicitly allows it.
9. Roaming and International Use
- No roaming is provided on these Plans.
 - For travel, we offer separate international eSIMs. Use those for voice, SMS and data abroad. Details and pricing: International eSIM.
 - Persistent use outside the UK on these Plans is not permitted.

10. Emergency Calls (999/112)
- Emergency calling depends on device and network availability. Where there is no coverage, emergency calling may not be possible.
 - Do not rely on mobile Services as your sole means for life-safety communications.

11. Numbers, Porting and Caller ID
- Numbers are allocated and regulated; they may change or be withdrawn for regulatory/technical reasons.
 - Porting follows industry processes; provide accurate PAC/STAC details.
 - Do not spoof or manipulate CLI to mislead recipients.

12. Premium and Special Rate Services
- International calls are barred.
 - Special rate calls (including premium rate, short codes, and other non-standard charge numbers) are barred.
 - We may maintain additional barring to prevent fraud or harm.

13. Security, Fraud and Privacy
- Keep devices updated and protected (PIN/biometrics where available).
 - We may monitor for fraud, spam, or security incidents and take proportionate action.
 - We process personal data per our Privacy Policy and lawful requests may require disclosure.

14. Charges and Out-of-Plan Use
- You are responsible for all usage on your account until loss/theft is reported.
 - Where a cap is reached (see Section 5), data access may be paused or restricted until the next allowance refresh; out-of-allowance data is not available unless explicitly enabled by your Plan.

15. Prohibited and Abusive Use (Examples)
- Illegal activity, harassment, threats, hate speech or incitement.
 - Infringing IP rights or distributing unlawful content.
 - Network attacks, interference, scanning, or attempts to circumvent controls.
 - Spam calls/SMS, silent or persistent nuisance calls, or practices breaching Ofcom/ICO rules.
 - Resale or sharing of Services outside your household/business without our written consent.

16. Enforcement and Remedies
We may investigate suspected breaches and take proportionate actions, including warnings, traffic management, barring of destinations, suspension or termination of Services, number changes, and reporting to authorities. We may recover our reasonable costs arising from misuse.
17. Changes to this AUP
We may update this AUP from time to time. Continued use of the Services constitutes acceptance of the latest version.
